The Atlas Free Global Network is on the frontlines, delivering safety, stability, and hope to those who have endured too much. This community is a part of these stories, helping to make them happen.

In Mexico, we’ve teamed up with our newest Network Member to support a school for children living in the red-light district. These kids face traffickers who want to exploit them, but this community has created a safe space where they can play, learn, and be protected.

One story that moved me is of a nine-year-old girl who was approached by a trafficker. He tried to lure her away, but she said no because she knew she had a secure place to go where people cared for her and kept her safe. She won’t be bought or sold.

In a remote region in Uganda, women and girls are often sold into sex trafficking for less than the price of a goat. We’re excited to share that Atlas Free’s Network Member is constructing three new safe homes, providing refuge for women to heal from the trauma done to them.

Carolina, a survivor advocate and leader in Spain, won Atlas Free's Equiano Award at the 13th Annual Freedom Gala this September. At the Freedom Gala she said, “I stand here as living proof that freedom is possible.” After a trafficker took her freedom, she did not let his abuse, exploitation, or lies limit her or determine her future.
